Etched in Red is a progressive heavy metal band based out of San Diego, California. Often compared to bands like Tool, Mudvayne, Lamb of God, and Slipknot, they manage to capture a sound that is all their own.

Formed in September of 2002, Etched in Red has quickly taken over and made a lasting impression on the western coast’s music scene. The band, consisting of five members, have years of previous experience under their belts, but have since, over the years of being in Etched in Red, just begun to reach their full creative and performing potentials. Each member constantly challenging but complimenting the other, giving birth to a chemistry and an enigma that is bound to create and do things never heard before while creating the kind of music that changes lives, shooting those subtle yet stimulating chills down your veins.

Etched in Red has already opened for acts such as As I Lay Dying, Drowning Pool, Alien Ant Farm, 18 visions, N.I.V., etc. Proving they can hang and entertain audiences of larger and more popular trends, while unveiling the true power of music, which is not only to entertain, but to connect, replenish, and revive the over-saturated listener.

Etched in Red released their debut CD, Dylate, in January of 2007, with that last statement in mind. The album receives raving reviews nearly every passing day, including one from the President of CD Baby and Hostbaby, Derek Silvers, “We’re REALLY picky about what goes on the front page. We get about 150 new albums a DAY coming in here now, (about 150,000 total), and yours is one of the best I’ve ever heard.” Derek Silvers awarded Etched in Red’s Dylate with the title “best new artist” on cdbaby.com. The 11 song album was recorded, mixed, produced and engineered by the band themselves, as their talents go far beyond just the art of writing and performing the music. With each passing year they delve further and further into the art of capturing and visually expressing the ultimate vision of Etched in Red, allowing the product to be of a purer expression, and as such leaving a stronger impression on its listeners, creating a solid dedicated fan base that will surely support the band for many years to come.

The 11 track LP as well as its predecessor demos have managed to capture the interest of several Major and Indie record labels, including Epic, Warner Bros, and Roadrunner. The album also gets regular play on the local San Diego/Los Angeles Rock Station, as well as many other radio stations across the country, including some as far out as Australia. Their resulting fan base, though fresh and in the making, is diverse and transcends the continents so that with given time, Etched in Red has the potential to be a worldwide phenomenon.
